The 2008 FALL FESTIVAL FOR LIFE CANCER WALK WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!!!  It was a picture perfect day on Saturday, September 20th, for our 3rd Annual Fall Festival For Life Cancer Walk. More than 2000 walkers participated in this extraordinary event,  which raised over $130,000 for the Cancer Center Spindle Fund (Supporting Patients in Need During Life's Endeavors).

There were games, prizes, face painting for the kids, a barbecue, music and an outpouring of support from the Greater Lowell community. Tiffany Ortiz, wife of Red Sox player David "Big Papi" Ortiz served as this year's Grand Marshal and posed for pictures and signed some autographs before walking with the hospital President and CEO Mike Guley and Foundation President Mike Kuenzler. Sandy Creamer, chairperson, Fall Festival and Janice Arcand, administrator, Cancer Center wish to extend their thanks to all who worked, volunteered, walked or donated to this year's event. The display of loyalty and commitment made this a resounding success.
