Pain Management Center
The Pain Management Center at Saints Medical Center is an outpatient service designed to help patients manage chronic pain through a number of proven methods and therapies. The goal is to reduce pain-triggered behavior and return patients to the most productive lifestyle possible. The focus of treatment includes injection therapy, physical therapy and psychological support. Treatment of various conditions includes pain related to the back, headaches, neck, cancer treatment, post herpetic neuralgia, joints and muscles.
Staffing the Pain Management Center are board certified anesthesiologists who are specifically trained in the area of pain management. The nursing staff is ACLS and BCLS certified, in addition to having specialized training in pain management.
The Pain Management Center helps patients:
• Reduce pain triggered behavior
• Seek viable coping mechanisms
• Increase their physical activity
• Return to a productive life style
Referrals to the Pain Management Center must be generated by another treating physician. An initial evaluation of each patient allows the pain specialist to formulate a customized treatment plan. Most insurance plans are accepted at the Pain Center, however patients must obtain a valid referral from their insurance carrier prior to a scheduled appointment.
