Nutrition Services
Registered Dietitian (RD), considered the most valuable credentialed source of health care professionals dedicated to good nutrition, are actively involved in both inpatient and outpatient nutrition needs at Saints Medical Center.
The inpatient clinical RD assesses nutrition status and makes recommendations to improve nutrition/dietary intake leading to overall improvements in the patient's health status. Dietitians are available to answer any nutrition and diet concerns.
Nutrition Clinic
The Nutrition Clinic offers outpatient medical nutrition therapy Monday through Saturday for numerous medical conditions, including diabetes, renal failure and cardiac and weight management issues. For further information, call 978-934-8447
Growth and Nutrition Clinic
The outpatient Growth and Nutrition Clinic provides an extensive range of services to children ages six and under who are experiencing growth delays or feeding difficulties. The family focused clinic staff consists of a registered dietitian, nurse practitioner, social worker and pediatric gastroenterologist who evaluate and treat growth issues resulting from medical, nutritional, developmental or sensory issues. Other factors affecting eating and growing including: prematurity, reflux, food allergies, constipation, poor or "picky" appetite, swallowing difficulties or food aversions are identified and treated using a multidisciplinary approach including ongoing commmunication with the child's pediatrician and community resources. The goal of the clinic is to promote improved growth and feeding skills in the younger child and to reduce the stress for families who are coping with these conditions.
