Cardiac Rehabilitation

Patients who have had a heart attack, PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention), coronary artery bypass surgery or stable angina, begin the challenging road to recovery through a medically supervised rehabilitation program. Our rehabilitation specialists are specially trained to educate and motivate patients as they work to restore and strengthen their cardiovascular health. A comprehensive program focuses on the physical aspect of cardiac disease as well as the necessary education to make long-term lifestyle changes. Patients begin a gradual program of exercise that aids in the recovery process during the weeks following hospitalization. We strive to reduce each patient's known cardiac risk factors through education and psychosocial support while providing emotional assistance from team members and fellow participants.

The Cardiac Rehab team includes: Registered Nurses, Exercise Physiologists and Dietitian.

Lectures include: Stress Management, Nutrition, Anatomy and Physiology, Medications and Science of Exercise.

Hours of operation are: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm; Tuesday and Thursday, 7 am - 6 pm. Please contact the department for class schedules. For more information on Cardiac Rehabilitation, please call 978-934-8238.
