Interpreter Services

Saints Medical Center offers Interpreter Services at no charge to our non-English speaking patients. The Interpreter Services Department provides medically trained interpreters fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and Cambodian (Khmer). Interpreter staff is available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:00 pm. During evenings and weekends, the Nursing Supervisor coordinates interpreter services, as needed. Saints also participates in a 24-hour telephonic service called Language Line to assist our non-English speaking patients.

Sign language interpreters are arranged through the Mass Commission for the deaf and hard of hearing for our hearing-impaired patients. A Telecommunications Device for the Deaf (TDD) is maintained in the Emergency Department on a 24/7 basis.
