SAINTS MEDICAL CENTER APPOINTS
ROSE MORGAN CHIEF NURSING OFFICER
LOWELL, Mass., May 24, 2010 – Saints Medical Center announced today that Rose Morgan, RN, BSN, MS has been appointed Chief Nursing Officer. She will officially begin her duties June 1, 2010.
Prior to joining Saints, Ms. Morgan was Senior Director of Patient Care Services at Cheshire Medical Center, Dartmouth Hitchcock, Keene, N.H., a 168-bed community hospital. While at Cheshire, she also served as Nursing Director for Adult Critical Care and Director of Occupational Health.
In making the announcement, Stephen J. Guimond, Interim Chief Executive Officer, said, “We are pleased to have Rose on board. She has an impressive career in nursing, starting as a staff nurse and developing her competencies to include critical care, quality, staff development, occupational health, and patient care services.”
Ms. Morgan said, “What attracted me to Saints was the hospital’s commitment to high-quality care in a compassionate Catholic setting. I look forward to continuing a standard of bedside care that is among the best of any community hospital in the nation.”
In addition to her management responsibilities, Ms. Morgan will be developing and implementing a new model of patient-focused care that enhances patient teaching, satisfaction, discharge preparation and decreased length of stay for medical and surgical inpatients without readmission.
Ms. Morgan, a resident of Keene, N.H., holds a Master of Science/Organization and Management from Antioch New England Graduate School, a BS in Nursing from the University of New Hampshire, and a registered nursing diploma from the Cheshire Hospital School of Nursing.
She is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the N.H. Organization of Nurse Executives, the Northern New England Perinatal Quality Improvement Network, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and the N.H. Board of Nursing, Policy and Professional Practice Committee.
